Welcome to my practice!
As a registered therapist, I offer therapy to children, teenagers, and adults seeking to improve their mental health and emotional well-being.
I have experience and expertise in working with individuals struggling with a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I work closely with my clients to develop a plan tailored to their individual needs.
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is a particular area of interest and expertise for me. Horses are sensitive and intuitive animals that can provide valuable insights into our emotions and behaviours. I have completed specialized training in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy from the Equine Psychotherapy Institute (EPI) and am a certified Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Practitioner. In Equine Assisted Therapy, we combine horse interactions with traditional therapeutic techniques to help individuals develop a deeper sense of self-awareness, improve their communication and relationship skills, and build resilience.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is another evidence-based therapy that I offer. ACT is a mindfulness-based approach that helps individuals develop psychological flexibility and learn to live in the present moment. It teaches individuals to accept their thoughts and emotions and to take committed action towards their values and goals.
My practice is neuro affirming and LGBTIQA+ affirming, and I welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities. I believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality mental health care, and I strive to create a safe and supportive space for all my clients.
If you're interested in learning more about Equine Assisted Therapy, ACT, or other therapies that I offer, please don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to working with you on your journey towards better mental health and well-being.
